Great podcast. I feel like I’m listening to NPR!
Thank you for the pearl post tip. I’ve not tried pearls yet – have been wanting to – and am so glad to have this info in advance.
I can’t tell you how many times I have referred back to your blog……thank you so much!
Thank you so much Lisa, you would not believe how much that means to me.
Doug
Thanks for this useful advice about making pearl jewellery. I have made lots of pearl stud earrings by glueing them onto a post and cup and so far have not had any back! I think the cup helps to give more surface area for the pearl to adhere to.
I have just been asked to make my first pearl ring setting, so your post is very timely! I understand what you are trying to achieve, but not sure how patient I would be to saw and file a piece that size! I will have to see how I get on.
Many thanks for the tips – bifocals are a necessity for me now, so will look into the safety glasses! I usually wear mine over the top of my glasses, but it’s not great.
Glad you are feeling better now – it’s good to see your posts again
Caroline
Thanks Caroline, another option is to take 2 smaller wires and twist them together tight. Gives you the same effect, just not as strong.
Take care
Doug
I just came across your website today and I wanted to tell you how wonderful it, and you, are! As a beginner, I have found a lot of different information in different places that has been helpful, but never have I found anything as all encompassing as your site and podcasts. Thank you so much for doing what you do!
Thank you Mindy! Comments like yours is the reason I do what I do. You have made my week.
