In the last blogpost I mentioned how I set the tension in my saw frame, consistent every time. Today I have a quick little fun video that highlights how I go about transferring and sawing out a design on a piece of metal. This is just one of the classes I am teaching this month at the JewelryMonk Studio and Training Center in Rapid City, SD. Below is a schedule for the classes in the month of January:
The New Year is exciting and I have a lot of NEW things I want to accomplish in the JewelryMonk World!
Some of the FUN projects I am working this month are:
1. Creating new designs for our soon to be released line of production pieces of 14k jewelry.
2. A new video series on Polishing Basics and Defect Repair to be released in February.
3. Also….. I am still on the lookout for an apprentice or 2 to come along side me at the studio that I can train, and they can help me build and train other young jewelers in the field of jewelry making.
4. I haven’t created a podcast in a while, so if I get a little spare time, I will attempt to get this going on a regular basis as well, I do miss that, and this will be a fun project for the person who comes alongside me in the new direction.
5. I also want to put together a website for all the tools and supplies I have to make it easier to purchase.
So, stay tuned here and be on the lookout for some exciting things coming.
As always, thanks for following along on this journey, and Let’s get ready to Make the BEST Jewelry of your Life!
